Donde esta mi casa (Where is my house)

Good news!

We are leaving the hospital today and heading home. Andrea is feeling great and has no nausea today. We do have a minor spinal tap procedure today, but should be home in the evening. I will miss the blue bunny popsicles that the hospital has in their freezer, but having Andrea home will probably be better than the cold orange flavor of the blue bunny popsicle. ¡Buenas noticias!

Dear Andrea,
When you are tired, nauseated, weak and feel you can't do one more thing, remember that you have boundless family and friends, near and far who will tuck you in with warm thoughs, nourish you with stories and jokes, hold you up and carry your weight until you can do so on your own. You will reach those days and we will all dance with joy! it's all about family, friends and....baby steps. Enjoy your house, your bed, your garden, Your own bathroom! It's also about the little things, too. I hope this is a good week. Take care Andrea, Sharon my dear friend, Joe and Kathleen. love Ann Shepherd

Dearest Andrea,

I want to tell you how proud I am of you. You have the most beautiful spirit and you are so strong. I love you so much. I can't even imagine what you are going through but know that we are with you all the way. Before you know it, we'll be back to our dinner dates, movie dates, game nights (hmm... I think we only did that once but it was so fun so for sure it will continue lol!). We'll be snowboarding, whitewater rafting, camping, traveling, making smores, exchanging recipes. Who's the next Martha Stewart? I think you have me beat on this one since you're sewing these days. Your dress looks great by the way. (for those who don't know, Andrea made the dress she's wearing on the picture at the top of the blog). You are an inspiration to me and I'm very lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for being my friend. XOXO

Love,
Crizen

I'm going home to Indy this weekend and am determined to find a picture from our trip to Panama - if only we could've captured the moment where I discovered that freakishly long gray hair on my arm!! That is seriously one of the funniest (and disgusting) moments of my entire life!! haha!! Also, wanted to find a picture of us when Kate and I came up to Chicago with Kathleen and kept complaining about shopping/walking!! We can't keep up with you guys!

You're in the home stretch - you'll be feeling better in no time! I know it's tough to imagine, but some day all of the sickness and heartache you're experiencing will be a distant memory!

Love, Lauren :)

Andrea,

I am soooo happy you are in your own domain. You will beat this thing! I so hope you will join your Mother and I, even if in phone messages and phone photos, to my next trip to Arkansas.

Or maybe I can come to Chicago ... I had some of the best Chinese and Greek food ever while there! It was a 'work' thing and I had to do alot of studying. Boring.

Your mother ... while we were in Arkansas ...just couldn't 'stay out of Walmart' .... or was it me? I can't remember. (?)

Andrea, I'm thinking of you, Anshul, Sharon, Joe, Kathleen and gosh ... even people I don't even know every day. There are soooo many people who love you, who are thinking and praying for you! Our well-wishes are coming your way and you WILL come thru this! You stay strong, know we love you and Anshul!

Your Aunt Deb
Love,
XOXOX

Andrea and family; I was saddend to hear that Andrea has been feeling very sick and not able to get out into her garden (which I know she loves!), but you hang in there, you are a very strong-willed girl. Anshul and your family are behind your every step of the way, and reading your blog, you have so many friends, praying and rooting for you. I think of you often and hope to see your smiling face (in person) very soon. Miss you.............Coleen
