Good and bad news

Well, there is some good and bad news today. Good news - Andrea's white blood count is back to normal. Consequently, she will be most likely starting her next round of chemo on Friday or Monday. Hopefully, the cancer will be in complete remission after the next round.

Also, before the chemo even started, Andrea had a surgery where an incision was made in her abdomen to determine the type of cancer she had. That incision and surgery has caused her a lot of pain. It even got infected last week. The good news is that the incision may finally be healing. The swelling and redness around the incision has gone down considerably. That may be due to the white blood count rising or due to all the antibiotics she has been receiving.

The bad news is that nausea is back. She hasn't been able to keep anything down in the last 36 hours. Hopefully, we can get back under control.

We are hoping for a good day today...

Anshul

My Dearest Andrea Rose,

Irish-nun joke time (hoping grandma doesn't learn the 'net)

Mother Superior at the Convent of St Agnes got all of the nuns together for
a little meeting, for something had come up. She said, "Sisters, we've
discovered a case of syphilis in the house!" Whereupon little sister Mary
Catherine clasped her hands together and fell to her knees and exclaimed,
"Oh, thank the Lord! We've all been getting so tired of Chardonnay!"

Love, Uncle Tom xoxo

Hi Andrea and Anshul!
We miss you guys terribly, and are so glad that you are getting better. The garden looks beautiful. J is having fun watering on the days it doesn't rain (including the boxes in the front). We are waiting for you to come home so we can have dinner (maybe mac and cheese again :) We planted a little bit on the side of our house - to make it pretty for you when you come home :) Thanks for posting this site - it is wonderful to see you.
Much love from the Zoo-
Bela

Andrea and Anshul,
Glad to hear everything is going better. I sent a comment last week but for some reason it didn't go through. Cute hair cut and Anshul, what a great Kobe Bryant look alike. The strong love you have for each other will be the medicine to fight this. It must be tough, but remember there are ALOT of FRIENDS AND FAMILY that love you both very much and and are in your corner of this fight. Our love to all the family and always remember we love you both.
