Andrea's got the munchies. She is getting a new drug that contains a tiny bit of mary jane, reifer, grass, hashish, or marijuana. It was weird how it was administered. All the nurses came in, turned off the lights, lit some candles, put some Bob Marley on, passed the pills around until Andrea - as they said, "took a hit." Then Andrea took a hit of the pill from this special administering device they called Billy Bong Thornton or Wesley Pipes. Soon after she received this medicine, she had a hankering for sandwiches (see image), had some short term memory loss, and kept repeating "I'm wigging out."Unfortunately, the drug has not been so successful. Andrea had another crummy day. She again felt nauseated all day. The good news is that she is done with her chemo treatment for now. So, I guess just time will make her feel better. We are also going home tomorrow most likely and hopefully that, along with time, will lift her spirits.
In the meantime, we do have a prescription for the magic drug and the nurses are coming over to our house next week with the Bob Marley music and the special device to administer the drugs.

We're thinking of you, sorry to hear about the nausea. However, I'm glad to see your husband has not lost his sense of humor or knack for the inappropriate!

Hello!!!!!!!!!! I am coming out of my fog at last and wanted to write to you guys. I hear from your Mom periodically with updates. You look good in your picture. I hope to come to Chicago to visit with Sharon sometime in the near future. Nausea sucks......but sounds like you have a good remedy. If Kathleen is still there, tell her happy birthday for me. It was Zachs 30th birthday on the same day. I will try to write again, I have no computer at home so I have to write from work.
Love ya,
Kathy Bundy, soon to be Swaynie once again.

Hi Andrea
So glad you told us here at SCL about your blog.
I'm relieved to hear you (for the most part) took well to the chemo. Once you're able to go home, I'm sure your spirits will lift and you'll start feeling better.
Know you're being thought of. Hang in there, kiddo!

Andrea - glad you are headed home today! You should definitely stop by McDonalds and the Pink Pony on the way. Just make sure the bathrooms have TP before using them.

Andrea and Anshul,
Your strength in fighting this terrible thing makes my heart sing. You WILL beat this! You guys stay strong and keep going. I want to visit you so much, laugh. Ask your Mom ... 'Aunt Deb asked ... is there a Walmart nearby'? She'll understand and can tell you stories but bet she has already.
Hey Baby Girl!.... YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! Hey Anshul, can't wait to meet you, you seem like a 'character'. I love you both, (Anshul, don't even 'know' you but absolutely LOVE you and can't wait to meet you ... with Andrea by your side. Soon. My sister has told me so much about how caring and loving you are! I'm so glad for my niece!)
You guys have a GREAT HOMECOMING!

I'm a little late to the game on this post... never the less I felt obliged to tell you guys that this post made me laugh out loud in class; which in turn lead to a lecture hall full of my peers looking at me in judgmental silence. Keep up the good work!
Don't bogart the cheese sandwhiches!!
