Hi Andrea, It's so good to hear from you. I hope that you are feeling good today. It's so hard to be this far away from you and your parents as you go through this. I wish there was something I could do to help. I just got back from a visit to my parents. My mom fell off of her bed and broke her shoulder a couple of weeks ago. She still wouldn't let me do anything for her. I'm relaxing at home now while Tom teaches Drivers Ed. I asked James if he thought I should get an endorsement to teach it, but he just laughed. I guess squealing when he gets too close to the car in front of him wouldn't make me a good teacher. Can I bring you anything, or send you anything? I've got nothing but time right now. Love, Aunt Karen
Hi Karen I just read your note to Andrea she's down with a bad headache. But she smiled thinking about your squealing in the car it reminded her of when you squealed as you all were falling out of the canoe :-) We'er all sorry to hear about your Mom. Andrea thinks that you should tell your Mom that the help from those who love you, all the thoughts and prayers with lots of laugher will help her get better faster just like it is for her. She said that she doesn't really need anything. She does like moonlight path body cream from bath and body works so could use alittle more and since we are using alot of antibacterial stuff maybe they have that in a cream of that scent. Right now that is the only one she can tolerate. Also she added maybe you could throw in a few buckeys :-) but Andera says to be honest your notes are enough especially the funny ones.:-) maybe Tom has a few of his to add. Also we have been trying his fool proof parallel parking so far no one has been sucessful :-) we need help. Andrea had another spinal chemo yesterday in which she did really well but they migraine like headaches really seem to be slowing her down alittle however her doctors office called today said her hgb count which had been 11 for the last month had gone up to 12 and her neutrophil count seemed pretty good and if she continues to do well then she will start her new round of chemo next week. It is really positive news. Go Andrea, go everyones thoughts & prayers & go H-milk :-)
Ann Shepherd is hoping that one of our favorite babysitters (the other one is Kathleen!) is feeling better tonight. Ok, I know that getting chemo is probably a little worse than babysitting my 2 boys but if you could tolerate Adam and Jordan you can get through this course of chemo. All it takes is loving family, favorite i-tunes, blooming flowers, cheerful friends and drugs to make your hemoglobin and white cell counts rebound! See....it's happening already!! * I love the idea of this blog to be able to follow your progress and bring you news and cheery notes quickly. This is the first time I have ever posted on a blog and I feel so, OMG, totally hip (Jordan told me that if I use the word "hip" it shows how un-hip I actually am). Anyway, thank you for bringing me into the 21st century. It's the marvels of new age medicine as well as old fashioned house calls by Mom that will help you get well, faster. My love to you, Anshul and families. Ann
Just wanted to know the our family thinks about you everyday and we all know that YOU WILL get through this. We all know that you will. You are a very strong woman. Beckey was so happy that she got to see you. She wishes she could have stayed longer. I'm so glad that you created this "blog" so that we can keep tabs on your progess. In our thoughts and prayers, on behalf of the whole Thomas gang -- Rachael
Its very painful to me and my family to learn about this disease. Myself and my family pray to the God for your early recovery and back to the normal life.
I hope that in few months you will be normal. I knwo Anshu very well since his childhood, he is very strong and supportive, he is one of the wheel of your life. I also hope that Anshul will provide good humour and energy to you during these days. Myself and Promila want to see you, therefor we are planning to see you in next week
