Andrea has a pretty good Halloween weekend. Yesterday in the morning she had some trouble with pain but it was quickly controlled by pain medication. Then, I made her breakfast and we watched a movie (it was not a romantic comedy - it was just a plain 'ole comedy). After that, Andrea and I went trick or treating with Jaden, Max, and Brody. They are our friends' and neighbors', Bela/Andy & Sarah/John, children. Jaden was a mermaid, Max was a polar bear, and Brody was a cat.
After going treat or treating with them, my brother Vipul, his wife Morgan, and my nephew Layton (dressed as a lion) came over with my parents and we again went trick or treating. We didn't get very far as Layton is only about 7 months old. We did try and get candy for him though. He was dressed up a lion. Also, after Andrea trick or treated with all the kids, she and her mom handed out candy to the neighborhood kids. After the Halloween festivities, we all had dinner together. Andrea really had a good Halloween.
Additionally, Andrea today got the best treat of all. The home health nurse came this morning to draw her blood for the regular blood test. We got the results back today and her white blood count is up to 6.1! That means that she is not at risk for infection anymore. This will be the first time after chemo since she started treatment that she has not gotten an infection between rounds of chemo. Looks like our doctor's plan for her chemo regimen worked and she will hopefully have another few weeks of healing at home before her next round of chemo.

Absolutely wonderful news!! So great to have some really quality time to continue to heal and get stronger and stronger. We missed you all as usual on Halloween. So nice to have your Dad there though. He's just so great to be around. The kids each got over 100 pieces of candy! I think it's a new record! It's probably true that the Dr's treatment helped Andrea's white count, but I bet it was really the chocolate that Andrea must have eaten on Holloween that put the white count over the top. Chocolate is good for MANY things.

Personally, the panda and the mermaid were very special to see, but I am partial..... So glad to see you so happy...It's a wonder thing! BTW I hope it is OK with Kathleen, but I used her pup in my drawing for Jaden. Be sure and ask her when she gets it to show you....

wow ! seems Andrea had a great Halloween !! :) ....and she looks healthier every day. I am sure low counts is temporary and will be back soon.
Jaden looks soooo grown up my God :) ...I remember her calling Anshul bhaiya every morning and wakin him up :p hahaha

Yaaaa, Iam so glad that you got to enjoy Halloween and the little treaters.

Hope everything is going well with Andrea. Haven't seen any new blogs for awhile. Must mean all is going GREAT. I am so glad to see that Andrea got to Indy(by the Calendar). I hope that the weather was good while their and that you got to visit alot and do alot of fun things. Its great to know that you can travel alittle.
The future is the Arizona Desert. I made a copy of your blog June to November and sent it to Aunt Lois and Uncle Oriville, pictures and all.
They think that Andrea is a very special Lady and that the Blog that Anshul is keeping up is the best. They Thank You all and Send their Love also.
