Nausea is still there

According to Andrea, the three things that she is currently dealing with is:
1) nausea - not being to keep fluids/food down
2) pain in her mouth due to mouth sores and her wound and
3) being loopy and not herself due to all the medication.

The pain has been manageable for a few days now and yesterday was the first day in a long time where she was not loopy and herself. So, we are making progress in that regard. However, the nausea is still there and she still cannot keep hardly any fluids/food down. She has an appointment today with a hearing specialist and a ear/nose/throat doctor to determine if vertigo is possible cause of nausea. Hopefully, we will get to the bottom of it today. Until she can eat and keep fluids in and keep hydrated, she is not comfortable going home.

We have gotten rid many of her problems. If we can get the nausea under wraps, Andrea will feel much better and will have a nice break at home. Hopefully, that can happen soon and she can go home this weekend.

Hi Andrea et. al. We are heading out to Ross and Julie's rehearsal and dinner. I can hear the faint sounds of Emily and Sam arguing so they most be getting ready to go. I am so sorry about the nausea!

Last night Lisa (who lost her mind momentarily) decided to go on the scrambler at the Holy Spirit festival. She had to hurl in order to feel better. This was the same woman who had to look away when her children were on a ride so she did not get sick to her stomach. Some Carney offered her a free ride....I bet he did!! ;)

I on the other hand dealt Texas Poker all evening and made money for the church, "Three bucks for the pope 7 bucks for you!" ...and channeling my father, "pair of sixes..paragoric!"

We are so hoping you get your nausea under control so you can go home Andrea! WE LOVE YOU!! Sam and Emily and John and Lisa...and Sunny!

Hi Andrea and Anshul,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I'm so sorry you guys are spending these days in the hospital. I truly believe these are 'just trying times', which you WILL survive!!!

I slept on the floor with Lucy, my youngest chihuahua, she broke her leg thursday nite and she was in surgery yesterday. I brought her home last nite and didn't want her jumping up on the furniture or bed, so made a 'bed' on the floor with her. I just snuck up in a chair to get on the computer. Boy, sleeping on the floor, did it make me realize how 'older' I am.

My heart is with you both.

Love,
Aunt Deb

Goodmorning and a belated Happy Anniversary, Andrea and Anshul, and please give Mrs. Mangal my birthday wishes, also. It looks like you're starting to have more "better" days, and I have a feeling they'll soon outweigh the sicker days. Im heading to a wedding this afternoon, the daughter of a good friend of mine. I recall going to the wedding of a daughter of a DEAR DEAR FRIEND 4 years ago....guess who that was??? And what a wedding that was! Even on your sick days, remember to hold on to those wonderful memories, the beautiful places you and Anshul have been to, and WILL GO TO IN THE FUTURE!!! Your name is called out during our prayers/intercessions during Mass, and again, in all of our prayers. My "Mommy Dearest" (that's what I call my Mom, altho she is totally unlike Joan Crawford in the movie...that's what makes it funny) is always asking about you. Like one of your aunts said in a message to you, the first thing I do when I get on the computer is see how you're doing. I so want to come up and put my arms around you and Sharon, Kathleen, Joe and Anshul (and anyone else who'll let me :=) and I'm trying to figure out a way to do it. My car is back in the shop, and I just got a $150. speeding ticket yesterday...guilty as charged, driving my stepson's borrowed van. Never a dull momemt. Sharon, remember my sweet nieces Mandy and Missy? Well, Mandy turned 30 yesterday, and Missy is 28, married to a great guy and has an 18 month old....and I'm STILL 39!

Well, time to get ready to cry at the wedding. Sven prefers to stay home...that happens alot w/his condition, so I'm having to get used to doing more things by myself.

Remember Andrea and family, you are surrounded by love and prayers. Lisa

Dear Andrea and Anshul,

Weddings...I remember first meeting you, Andrea when you were in Lisa's beautiful wedding! So adorable! And I heard how magical and lovely your wedding was. Spending some time in India in January '08 only deepened my appreciation. I wish you both the very best in your lives together. In our house, we are coming up on our 20th Anniversary this month. We are kind of the "Mad About You" couple, and have learned so much from each other! I think multicultural marriages are never boring. He is Jewish and from New York, and I am from...the Planet Mars!

Now, to change the subject...

I teach a class in Energetic Empowerment for cancer patients at the national headquarters of Cancer Care, Inc., in NYC. If you ever want to learn some of what we do and what class members say has helped them, feel free to call me during some weekend on my cell (917) 804-6740. Or ask your Mom, Andrea, to give me a buzz or an email, which might work even better, because I know she will get the details down pat. Meanwhile, I will be praying and sending good energy to and for you both!

Lots of love, Linda

Hi Andrea,
We just got back from Ross's and Julie's wedding. I took lots of pictures (someone had to since your mom wasn't there, but I'm sure they're not as good as hers. I'm going to try to set up a Flicker site or something so that you can see the pictures. I'll let you know if I'm successful.
Love,
Aunt Karen
