Yesterday was a very hard day for Andrea. Her white blood count was still very low and she was very nauseated. Her white blood counts usually come up in 3-4 days after going to zero, but this time they have taken over a week. This has really hit Andrea hard emotionally and she was very worried if they will come up. The doctors and everyone has reassured her they will, but it is very hard sometimes for her to have faith. She is doing a great job trying to stay positive nonetheless and we are all helping her stay upbeat. Also, she has been physically a bit weaker as well because she can't any food down due to nausea and other reasons.
Last night, to help Andrea stay upbeat, I bought a projector for her. She loves going to the movies, so I brought the movies to her. We hooked up the projector in the hospital room and watched the movie "Watchmen." The movie was not so good, but she loved the experience of watching a movie on a somewhat big screen. Also, throughout the day yesterday, the Taylors did a great job of trying to cheer her up and I think it really helped Andrea. They also helped Andrea keep food down by trying to give her food items in small quantities that are easy to digest.
This morning, Andrea felt much better emotionally and looked better physically. Also, her white blood counts are finally coming up. Hopefully, it will only be a few more days before they are back to normal. I am looking forward to a much better day with Andrea and a better movie tonight.

Glad today was better, and hope tomorrow will be even better. Missing you guys here. Everything is fine in the yard, business as usual :) Saw a bunny today - so that was big news at "the zoo." We are enjoying the hammock a lot - and hope to have you home soon, and in it....so we can disturb you :)

Hey Andrea,
Sorry I haven't sent any messages for a couple of days. I had training almost every day last week. Today was our first day back for teacher meetings. Tomorrow the hordes descend.
I'm glad those white cells are starting to come up. You know my knowledge of medicine is very, very slight, but that sounds like a good thing. Do you want me to send up any of my movies? They are too "chick-flicky" for James's tastes, but I like them. I can always give them to your dad if you want them.
Take care.
Love,
Aunt Karen
You guys are such an awesume bunch!!!! Andrea, you are such a 'fighter'!!!! Your whole family, hehind you, fighting! WOW!!!! You GOOOO GIRL!!!! You are so loved because YOU are so loving!!! Guess what, you're going to kick this thing!!!
The rep who comes to our hospital for spinal surgeries, went thru almost the same thing, agressive form of lymphoma. He asks about you every time I see him. Sometimes I just can't talk about you and he understands. He again told me today 'tell your niece .... her husband ... your sister, etc. if they ever want to talk .... give them my number'. He's a really neat guy.
He's a young guy, like you, not 'older' like your Aunt Deb. Hey you, I'm not 'old', just 'older'!!!
So many are pulling for you!!! Even those you don't even know! A perfusionist I work with told me today, they said a prayer for you at his church on Sunday ..... I gave him your name, I hope you don't mind.
I don't have any movies, am rather boring these days. Did you see 'Hollywood Chihuahua'? or something like that? It's rather funny. I have 2 chihuahuas. I got the second one to keep Carrie's chihuahua (my 'granddaughter') company when Carrie went off to college. The 'second' one is who broke her leg and had to have surgery.
Oh well, my Dear. Better try and get some sleep .... I have to work tomorrow .... yuk .... I hope you're feeling better!!!!! Thank you so much Anshul for this blog!!!!! I feel so helpless but at least I and those who love you both, can write something about our thoughts.
Love,
Aunt Deb
