Day 1 of Chemo

Andrea was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning. It was a pretty uneventful day which is always good for Andrea. She did not start her chemo until last night around 9:30. She was administered two different chemo drugs Vincristine and Methotrexate last night. Everything so far seems to be fine and she seems to be handling those drugs just fine. She usually gets nauseated from those drugs, but so far no nausea.

Today, she has a spinal tap. That is where they introduce chemo into her central nervous system. They d0 so by sticking a needle into her spinal cord and injecting the chemo. These are very painful and Andrea will be sedated for this procedure. That should be done this morning and I am hoping that everything goes will with the spinal. I will update everyone and let you guys know how it went....

Anshul and Andrea - Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and your families. Stay strong! I had no idea this was going on, but it sounds like you both are being great support for one another. Keep up the good work and love.
