Happy Anniversary to me!

Update: The nausea came back. We are trying to figure out why and hopefully we can get her feeling better again soon.

Everyone,

Andrea is feeling amazing today. The best day by far since she started chemo!

Let me give you some history. Yesterday started off good, but went downhill fast. Her counts kept coming up but as she got an appetite and starting eating, she got nauseated. She was throwing up all day and was very emotional. She was frustrated, mad, and upset that (1) she could keep anything down, (2) she was in pain, and (3) she was loopy and confused and hasn't been herself in a long time. Then, in the evening, Dr. Kent, her primary doctor, came in and talked to her and took off the drugs she was currently using. He put her on some other drugs for nausea and they worked great.

She was still not comfortable last night, but when we woke up this morning, she felt great. She was herself, talking up a storm, ate a good breakfast, in very little pain, and so far NO NAUSEA. This is definitely the best she has felt since her chemo started. And all this comes on the day we got married about 4 years ago.

So, happy anniversary to me.

Dear Andrea and Anshul,
What a wonderful anniversary present to each other that you can both feel good today! So glad to hear that things are settling down. Sam and I are in the middle of a monster game of Monopoly-gosh it's a long game. Emily is getting ready to do some math games on the computer-she's thrilled-not. Going to the Holy Spirit festival tonight-we're all working at it, and having fun at it too. Picked up Sam's tux for the wedding today-brought back memories of your wedding-he still hates to have a shirt buttoned around that Taylor neck of his-all the choking noises are deafening! We love you gobs and gobs, and send you well wishes on your anniversary today. So glad you have each other. Love, Lisa, John, Sam, Emily, and Sunny the kitten

Happy Anniversary! I can't believe that it has been 4 years... it seems like yesterday. I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that the tests this week come back looking good and they can get the nausea under control. Love, Steph

I think Andrea was saving this surprise for Anshul for this special day. No nausea and feel good. You made his day. He was very happy this morning, when I talk to him. I wish it stays like this througout the struggle of the chemotherapy and wish you long happy married life.

with lots of love
mom and dad

What a beautiful day it was at the art museum when you two joined hearts, minds and families with your wedding. I have wonderful memories of that day and I was only a guest. Each day is a gift to each other. Happy Aniversary today and in the years to come, Andrea and Anshul!!! (bad nausea-go away). love, Ann Shepherd

andrea & anshul - It's been 4 years already, Wow,I remember being at your wedding, it was a well organized, beautiful wedding; two families, two cultures coming together. Anytime people talk about a wedding they have been to, I always tell them about yours. Your vows (in sickness and in health prove true). "Happy anniversary to you both". Andrea, there is a care box coming your way from SCL (I hope it gives you a little chuckle)...............Coleen
