Yesterday evening/this morning was Day 4 of 5 of this round of chemotheraphy. And shortly she will be getting her last dose of chemo for this round. That dose will be administered today to tomorrow morning. So, Andrea will be through her 4th round of chemotherapy tomorrow.
It has been a rough round though. Her pain has been fairly well controlled. She, however, has been in bed continuously through this round and yesterday/this morning she has been very nauseated. She has only thrown up a few times during the day, but she feels queasy all day long. She hasn't eaten anything in 5 days and has been pretty much sleeping for the last few days. She has also been spiking fevers up to 103 degrees. That is a common side effect of one of the chemo drugs she is being given. So, she is constantly getting the chills which also don't help.
I wish there was something I could do to help. Unfortunately, even with all my and Mrs. Taylor's efforts, we have been unsuccessful in trying to make her feel better. The doctors and nurses here are also trying their best. I am hoping that she will just feel better once this round of chemo is over and am hoping she gets to go home Tuesday in good health.

REMISSION!!! AHHH, the POWER OF PRAYER!....not to mention the world's best support system!!! You know, I always told your Mom that she was the BEST NURSE IN THE WORLD!!! So, SHARON,, once again, all of this just proves it!!!
I hope by the time you read this your shoulder is feeling better, and you are eatng, drinking and getting as much rest as possible.
Sven and I volunteered at our Sugar Creek Art Center yesterday. I cantored at Mass today and offered your name during the intercessions, and then enjoyed watching "The Wedding Singer" at the Vanity Theatre in Crawfordsville. Britta is stage mgr...it was hilarious!!! Andrea, the good news is in a few more months you will be getting back to your past routine, including lots of laughter.
I'm sorry about all the Port problems, but glad it's taken care of now. I'll never forget the 1st port I accessed...I was doing home care, 1/2 the supplies didn't arrive as needed, and my patient was in the middle of a waterbed and didn't want to move. Soooo, let's just say it worked out well, but I never thought I'd get "sea-sick" in the middle of a bed. :=)
I know it's tough waiting for the results of the bar exam, Anshul, but am confident you did well.
Kathleen, your moving back will be such a plus for all of you. All that flying back and forth had to be tiring.
My love to everyone, friends and family alike. I look forward to reading the blog notes and truly feel connected although I've likely never met most of you. I'm just sorry it hasn't been under better circumstances, but I've always found that when the going gets tough, the tough truly do get going.
Blessing and Love, Lisa
Sorry to hear about the pain Andrea is going through. All our positive energies go for her....
Cummon Andrea, just a day more and you'll be done with the 4th round ! We are all sure you can do it !!
hey, lemme share a joke with you -
(Assume Layton is grown up)
Vipul was trying to to teach Layton the evils of alcohol.
He put a worm in a glass of water & another in a glass of whiskey.
The worm in the water lived while the one in the whiskey curled up & died.
"All right, son," Said Vipul, "what does that show you?"
"Well dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol you will not have worms."
:)) lolzzz.... how innocent of Layton :) haha
Lots of love,
Chinu
We love you, Andrea!!!
