Feeling better today

Yesterday was a rough day. Andrea was feeling ok, but she was very emotional. She was/is just sick of being in the hospital. It has been a very long stay. She also has been having some muscle/bone pains and we finally figured out that is due to the neupogen injections. The neupogen injections help raise her white blood counts. We were able to calm her down a bit. I played the guitar and sang some songs with her to make her feel better. Kathleen watched a movie with her and Mrs. Taylor rubbed her feet. Everyone contributed and it helped Andrea a little. She felt better in the evening and went to bed with a smile.

This morning she felt much better. Her counts are finally increasing rapidly and they are up to 1.57. Normal are between 5 and 10, but they should be there soon. We woke up today, took a walk, and ate some breakfast. Today is looking like a really good day.

Andrea,
Hang in there girl. IT WILL GET BETTER. Keep your chin up and give us the "Big Taylor" smile :) Thinking and praying for you and everyone every day. Going to contact the blood center to donate platelets so hopefully they will come directly to you. Eat lots, drink plenty and go home to enjoy your family (and your hammock).
We love you all.

Sounds like you'll be home soon!!! Can't wait to see you in the garden - you have SO many tomatoes, and the hammock is so much fun. The planters look good too - they'll all be happy to see you.

Andrea,
Just be thankful Anshul is singing with you and not me. If my students don't behave, I sing until they see the light. This is a 100% effective behavior tool for me. I can sound really bad when I want too. I still don't understand why my nephew doesn't want me to sing at his wedding. Oh well, I could always send you a recording so you can see what you're missing :)
Hope tomorrow is even better.
Love,
Aunt Karen

Andrea,
I'm with Karen-you don't want me to sing either! I would rub your feet though. That's my favorite thing to do with my patients if I have the time. We all love you so much!! Nice to know that you're on the way up now. I keep picturing your beautiful, soothing home, and picturing you in it-soon, soon. Love, Aunt Lisa and gang
