Last day/night

Today is Andrea's last day and night. We may get discharged tomorrow if Andrea is feeling well. If not, I think we will definitely be home Sunday.

Yesterday, Andrea woke up and felt okay. As the day progressed, however, Andrea's condition got much worse. She was fairly nauseated yesterday and had terrible headaches all day long. She primarily stayed in bed most of the day. She tried to hold it together. Even though she felt nauseated all day, she only vomited once. The doctors did administer another drug to Andrea called decadron to help with her headaches/nausea. It may be helping as Andrea is feeling much better today. Hopefully, she continues to feel the way she is this morning. If not, I think after the chemotherapy is done tomorrow she will feel much better.

She is going to try and relax as much as possible today and maybe watch another movie.

Andrea,

You ARE ONE TOUGH COOKIE!!!! You hang in there like you've been doing!! Let the love that surrounds you, close and from afar, encompass you! Things are rough for you right now. You are handling them so bravely and strongly! You ARE DOING IT!!

I had to work late tonight. We had a big storm, I guess a tornado touched down near the hospital. Our lights went out and we had to delay a surgery. Can't start a new non-emergency surgery on back-up generator. Sooo is why I'm so late to get home.

I was nervous as to how I'd find my house as I left several windows open (stupid) but came home and all is OK.

You keep up the fight and the strength and optimistic personality that you have! I can't wait to see you, meet Anshul and see your garden!

You hang in there, Baby Girl!!!

Love,
Aunt Deb

Dear Andrea,

Today is the 22nd birthday of my dear son James. I called him on his birth min; 8:16 am.
He proceeded to ask me what was the meaning of calling him @ 8:16 am. What could have been a warm father/son moment broke down into a series of profane swearing.

Next year please remind me that was a bad idea.

I love, you, Andrea. I hope tomorrow is a good day.

xoxo

Uncle Tom
