Also, her white blood counts still have not risen to a normal level. They are still essentially zero. They are taking an abnormally longer period of time to rise to normal levels this time. The doctors have doubled the dose of neupogen, a drug that she receives to stimulate white blood cell levels. I am hoping that when her white blood count rises, the muscle pain somehow will disappear as well.
Other than the muscle pain and no white blood cells, she feels fine. She is a little tired, but overall she is doing okay. She even had a Big Mac Attack today (2 all beef patties, special sauce, on a sesame seed bun - she's lovin' it). I am once again optimistic that the extra neupogen will help, her white blood count will be higher tomorrow, and her muscle pain will subside. This afternoon we will be relaxing and watching a chick flick, "Confessions of a Shop-a-holic." Yesterday, I was forced to sit through "Enchanted," a movie with singing. Andrea has muscle pain and she, along with Mrs. Taylor and Kathleen, is putting me through a great deal of audio and video pain with these movies. It is her birthday week though.

Hi Andrea-
Enjoy the chick flicks, and the fact that you can get Anshul to watch them. Won't always be this easy in the future :) Hang in there - we are hoping that you'll be home soon. The good films will surely get those WBC's back up there!
XOXO
Bela

Hi Andrea,
So sorry you are still in so much pain, white counts low. All will be well in a short time, I just know it. Especially hearing you had a 'craving' for a McDonald's Big Mac! I think I'm going to write McDonald's.
Keep it going, Baby Girl! You're on the upswing!
I had to work 3p-11:30p today, got home, took about 15 minutes for the doggies to settle down. (Still trying to keep my one chihuahua who broke her leg 'quiet'). I hate these hours but our 3-11p PA is on vacation so we all have to rotate and today was my 'turn'. Now I'm wide awake. My last case was an elderly gentleman who can cancer on his nose and his nose was basically 'gone', so by the time I was relieved at 11:30P, we had reconstructed his nose and just about to sew in a skin flap from his forehead. His family was in the waiting room so before I left I took warmed blankets and pillows, soft drinks and ice out to them. One of the family members started to cry which made me teary-eyed.
I 'sniffled' all the way home, thinking of you. Then I snapped out of it, realizing, you are YOUNG and HEALTHY and you WILL beat this awful demon!!!
You just keep that upbeat spirit you have always had! It's been rough for you. You have sooo many people who love you, pray for you, pulling for you. You, my Dear, will get better!!!
I love you,
Love,
Aunt Deb

Andrea, I wish I could be up there to help take care of YOU instead of all these wet, soggy heart failure patients. But did you know that some of them are praying for you? Do you know that Sister Mary John (the #1 sports fan in America as designated by Good Morning America) is praying for you? I ask friends, neighbors, patients, nurses, secretaries, housekeepers, here at work and other friends as well,to lift you up in their hearts.I am so sorry about the pain and suffering you are going through-I hope today(Friday)is better. We had Grandma over for dinner last night and we were talking about appreciating, after making that trip last weekend, how you came down so often for all of our family get togethers without complaining about the long drive. Her garden is splendiferous----you would be so proud.Anshul, how can you say that about "Enchanted"-you know you loved it and I'll bet that you cheered out loud when the boy got the girl. Andrea,
Wait-ago with the Big Mac. YEAH. That should get the blood cells up and running. I hope your muscle pain gets better and you can go home. Oh by the way, your birhtday roses were beautiful. What a great husband you have. LOL
Know you are loved and prayed for by not only us but my brother is also praying for you.
Love to all.
Jim & Mary Anne
Andrea - Hope you get feeling better soon. You are a bonafide trooper!
I'm glad Anshul is putting up w/the chickflicks! Way to go! Oh, and make sure you educate him that a "movie with music" is called a ... musical. ;-)
He He!

Andrea,
I love it - chick flicks and Big Macs. The only thing you're missing is the cheesecake. Tell Anshul I have lots of chick flicks that you can borrow if you want. James wouldn't take them for his movie collection. Hope the pain eases soon.
Love,
Aunt Karen
Andrea,
I this people have to try soma, It is an instant treatment option for muscle pain. It is an effective muscle relaxer that blocks the connection between nerve cells and brain, which conveys the message of pain to body. This muscle relaxer drug works for all kinds of pains and associated discomfort. In order to heal injuries and other painful musculoskeletal issues, Soma is prescribed with rest and physical therapy.
